Q: I've tried therapy before and it didn't really help. How do I know this is going to help?

Q: Do you only work with moms or can you help my partner too?

When working with couples, I work with each person individually to create solutions for their individual issues. Then I work with both together to create solutions for the relationship.


Q: Can you also help my teen/child?

When working with teens or children, I usually work with the parents first. When children are dealing with issues, the parents can have a lot of emotions about the situation. It is critical for the parents (or at least the primary parent) to clear their emotions and belief patterns first so that they can be the source of support and strength for their children. Parents need to be empowered to help their children. Once that is done, working directly with children may not need many sessions. Parents can be present.

For older teens, they may or may not want their parents involved in the sessions. It is up to the teen.


Q: I have had too many traumatizing things happen in my past and I have too many problems in my life right now. I don't think anyone can really help me. What kind of trauma do you help with?

It can seem impossibly overwhelming when it's not just a few incidents that were traumatizing, but entire series of events that happened over years and multiple scenarios. Yet it is still possible to work through all of that and clear the residual effects of trauma.

Trauma tends to affect different levels - mind, body, emotions, etc. We can work through those layers to clear a lot of residual effects.

The most detrimental long term effects of trauma are when it effects your identity and sense of self worth. But actually, that is not hard to clear as well. People can have a totally transformative experience, even if they have dealt with extreme and complicated traumas.

I have helped people heal all sorts of trauma - childhood abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, near death accidents, birth trauma, abusive relationships, living through war, intergenerational trauma, and so on.


Q: My life is pretty good. I just have one minor issue that I would like to work on. I can figure it out on my own. Do I really need a coach?

If you could have solved your issue on your own, you would have by now. Sometimes there are things that you can't see from your perspective, but having a professional guide you through areas of yourself you can't see, can make all the difference. You can get unstuck in areas of life you have been stuck for years.


Q: I had a baby a while ago, but I still feel like the birth was quite traumatizing for me. What can I do?

A lot of women have traumatizing experiences in childbirth, either because difficulties in birth, the baby or mom being at risk of danger, or more commonly, the disrespectful way mothers are treated by some medical staff. Birth trauma can affect women for years, if not resolved. It can lead to post partum depression, post partum anxiety, and can lead to a lack of bonding between mother and child, or a breakdown in the marriage. It can even affect women for decades after birth. Sometimes becoming pregnant again after the traumatic birth can trigger a lot of fear for the upcoming birth.

All of that can be healed, however. Since I am an emotional trauma healer, as well as having been a birth doula for 15 years, I have been able to assist many women in healing their birth trauma and return to feeling peace and empowerment.


Q: I had a miscarriage/still birth/ infant loss. Can you help me?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, I can help you. Miscarriage, still birth or infant loss is such an intimate and painful topic and people don't even know how to begin talking about it. Having supported hundreds of families through the perinatal period, I know that miscarriage is far more common than people realize. As deep as the emotional pain is, it is possible to heal completely and return to peace and love.


Q: I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I just know I'm so overwhelmed with the non-stop tasks of parenting. I'm feeling lost. I don't even know if I have time to have coaching calls cos I'm already so strapped for time.

First of all, I have to say, I totally get it! I have 4 kids and when they were younger, it was non stop, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Q: I broke up with my ex-husband, so I don't need help improving my marriage. I just want to improve communication with the ex because we still have to co-parent. Can you help me with that?

Yes. Even if you are separated, it is extremely helpful to process unresolved resentments and regrets from the past, and heal the relationship. It will make the co-parenting relationship much more peaceful and respectful. Separation does not have to be anger and conflict-ridden. You don't have to be left with hatred and bitterness. You can clear the residual emotions, learn from the experience, and come to peace. It will make it much easier to have loving relationships in the future.


Q: I keep losing my temper with my kids, even though I try not to. I think it's because of my own childhood upbringing, Can you really fix that?

We can't change the past, but we can totally change the effects of the past in the present. By processing the emotions and belief patterns from your childhood, and healing your inner child, we can eliminate the source of stress and anger that keeps resurfacing in the present.


Q: How do you heal trauma? Do you just talk about it?

We are very lucky these days, that there are so many effective modalities to heal trauma. Talking about it and feeling listened to and understood may be all that you need to release the emotions. But if the trauma is stuck in deeper layers, such as the body, sub conscious brain, or energy field, it may take other modalities to clear that.

Because I combine several different modalities, clients have found my trauma healing extremely fast and effective. Once a particular incident is cleared, it does not cause recurring thoughts. It is even possible to heal intergenerational trauma.

The methods I use include Emotional Freedom Technique Tapping, Matrix Reimprinting, Tony Robbins' Strategic Intervention, Non-Violent Communication, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Byron Katie's The Work, Levels of Human Consciousness, as well as principles from Life Coaching, Abraham-Hicks' Law of Attraction, and Spiritual Coaching.


Q: How do I know if past trauma is affecting me now or not? I try to just move on and live my life the best I can.

To know if past trauma is affecting you now, look at if there are things that trigger you? Events may happen, or people may say things, and suddenly, you may be experiencing a lot of intense negative emotions. Family relationships are great for exposing triggers. The closer people are to you, the more likely they are to trigger your unhealed trauma.

You may also notice the same repeating emotional pattern. Trauma can cause a stuck emotional pattern. Either you repeatedly find yourself feeling angry, afraid, worried, guilty, sad, or not worthy. But it's always the same feeling. So no matter what happens, the people who tend to get angry, will get angry. the people who tend to get sad, will get sad. The people who tend to feel guilty, will feel guilty. It is a stuck emotional pattern that is caused by unresolved emotional trauma.

You may also feel like you're acting (or feeling) like a child or teenager in certain situations. This is because when a traumatic incident occurs, a part of our psyche feels stuck at that age. So when events happen that remind us of that event, we behave in the same way we would have at that age.

Healing the trauma will return you to being your fully empowered adult self.

The easiest way to know if you have healed a past trauma is when you think about the memory, do you feel negative emotions or neutral or even positive emotions?

Our emotions are actually fantastic tools of information. Years and years can pass after a traumatic situation, and yet every time you remember it, you can retrigger negative emotions. But when it is processed, healed and resolved, you can think about the situation, and there will be no more negative emotions.
